Mortgage; assignment; recording not notice to mortgagor.The recording of an assignment of a mortgage shall not, in itself, be deemed notice of such assignment to the mortgagor, his heirs or personal representatives, so as to invalidate any payment made by them, or either of them, to the mortgagee.Source R.S.1866, c. 43, § 44, p. 290; R.S.1913, § 6229; C.S.1922, § 5628; C.S.1929, § 76-234; R.S.1943, § 76-256.
