References to State Energy Office or Department of Environmental Quality in contracts or other documents; how construed; contracts and property; how treated.On and after July 1, 2019, whenever the State Energy Office or the Department of Environmental Quality is referred to or designated by any contract or other document in connection with the duties and functions of the Department of Environment and Energy, such reference or designation shall apply to the Department of Environment and Energy. All contracts entered into by the State Energy Office or the Department of Environmental Quality prior to July 1, 2019, in connection with the duties and functions of the Department of Environment and Energy are hereby recognized, with the Department of Environment and Energy succeeding to all rights and obligations under such contracts.
