1. The personal representative who has limited authority or full authority has the power to do all the following: (a) Deposit money belonging to the estate in an insured account in a financial institution in this State; (b) Invest money of the estate in any one or more of the following: (1) Direct obligations of the United States, or of the State of Nevada, maturing not later than 1 year after the date of making the investment; (2) Savings accounts in a bank, credit union, savings and loan association or savings bank in this State, to the extent that the deposit is insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund or a private insurer approved pursuant to NRS 672.755; (3) Interest-bearing obligations of, or fully guaranteed by, the United States; (4) Interest bearing obligations of the United States Postal Service or the Federal National Mortgage Association; (5) Interest-bearing obligations of this State or of a county, city or school district of this State; or (6) Money-market mutual funds that are invested only in obligations listed in subparagraphs (1) to (5), inclusive; or (c) Invest money of the estate in any manner provided
