Statute 143 525

1. The personal representative who has limited authority or full authority has the power to pay a reasonable family allowance. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, the personal representative may exercise this power without giving notice of the proposed action pursuant to NRS 143.700 to 143.760, inclusive. 2. The personal representative shall give notice of a proposed action pursuant to NRS 143.700 to 143.760, inclusive, for all the following: (a) Making the first payment of a family allowance. (b) Making the first payment of a family allowance for a period commencing more than 12 months after the death of the decedent. (c) Making any increase in the amount of the payment of a family allowance. (Added to NRS by 2011, 1444)
