Notwithstanding any provision in this title, if an act is authorized or required to be performed at or within a specified period pursuant to this chapter: 1. The period may be extended upon the agreement of all interested persons, by written stipulation of counsel filed in the action; or 2. The court, for good cause shown, may at any time: (a) Regardless of whether there has been a motion, petition or notice, order that the period be extended if a request for the extension is made before the expiration of the specified period as originally prescribed or as extended by a previous order; or (b) Upon a motion made after the expiration of the specified period, authorize a person to perform the act if the failure to perform the act in a timely manner was the result of excusable neglect.
