1. A guardian of the estate: (a) Shall demand all debts and other choses in action due to the protected minor; and (b) With prior approval of the court, may sue for and receive all debts and other choses in action due to the protected minor. 2. A guardian of the estate, with prior approval of the court by order, may compound or compromise any debt or other chose in action due to the protected minor and give a release and discharge to the debtor or other obligor. 3. A guardian of the person: (a) May obtain an order which requires one or both parents of the protected minor to pay the guardian an amount determined by the court pursuant to NRS 125B.080 for the support of the protected minor. (b) Shall give notice to the court of the entry of an order for the payment of the support of the protected minor or the approval of any public assistance for the protected minor not later than 30 days after the entry of the order or the approval of public assistance. The guardian shall file a copy of the order of support or document which evidences approval of public assistance with the notice which is filed with the court. (Added to NRS by 2017, 840, 2284)
