1. The board of county commissioners shall require the psychologist, psychiatrist or counselor treating a victim of sexual assault or the victim’s spouse for emotional trauma suffered as a result of the sexual assault to certify from time to time that the counseling relates to the sexual assault and that the victim or spouse still suffers from the effects of the emotional trauma which resulted from the sexual assault. 2. If the person providing the treatment fails to make the certification upon request by the board, the board may order the treatment terminated. (Added to NRS by 1975, 1291; A 1977, 1634; 1979, 587)
