Statute 218a 250

1. A person who receives a certificate of election or appointment to office as a Legislator may resign the office whether or not the person has entered upon the execution of the duties of the office or has taken the requisite oath of office. 2. If a person resigns his or her office as a Legislator, the person shall deliver the resignation to the Governor.
