Statute 218d 440

1. Except as provided in subsection 2, fiscal notes are required on the original bill and original joint resolution only and not on amendments. 2. Whenever an amendment adopted by one House so affects a bill or joint resolution that the original fiscal note ceases to be valid, the presiding officer may direct the Fiscal Analysis Division to obtain a new fiscal note showing the effect of the bill or joint resolution as amended.
