1. A committee may conduct investigations and hold hearings regarding any matter which is pertinent to its legislative business or possible future legislative action and may exercise any of the investigative powers set forth in NRS 218E.105 to 218E.140, inclusive. 2. The secretary of the committee or any member of the committee may administer oaths to witnesses who appear before the committee. 3. The chair of the committee, or the secretary of the committee on behalf of the chair, may cause the deposition of witnesses to be taken, whether the witnesses reside within or without the State, in the manner prescribed by court rules for taking depositions in civil actions in the district court.
