There is hereby created the Subcommittee on Public Lands of the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Natural Resources, consisting of members appointed by the Chair of the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Natural Resources, who must include: (a) Two members of the Senate who are members of the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Natural Resources; (b) Two members of the Assembly who are members of the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Natural Resources; (c) One elected officer representing the governing body of a local political subdivision, appointed with appropriate regard for his or her experience with and knowledge of matters relating to public lands; and (d) One member representing tribal governments in Nevada who is recommended by the Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada, Inc., or its successor organization, appointed with appropriate regard for his or her experience with and knowledge of matters relating to public lands; 2. The Chair of the Subcommittee: (a) May designate an alternate appointed by the Chair of the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Natural Resources to serve in place of a
