1. 'Immediate family,' with regard to a specific person, means: (a) The spouse or domestic partner of the person; (b) A relative who lives in the same home or dwelling as the person; or (c) A relative who does not live in the same home or dwelling as the person but who is dependent on and receiving substantial support from the person. 2. For the purposes of this section, 'relative' means someone who is related to the person, or to the spouse or domestic partner of the person, by blood, adoption, marriage or domestic partnership within the third degree of consanguinity or affinity.
