Statute 232b 240

1. The Sunset Subcommittee of the Legislative Commission shall conduct public hearings for the purpose of obtaining comments on, and may require the Legislative Counsel Bureau to submit reports on, the need for the termination, modification, consolidation or continued operation of a board or commission. 2. The Sunset Subcommittee shall consider any report submitted to it by the Legislative Counsel Bureau. 3. A board or commission has the burden of proving that there is a public need for its continued existence. (Added to NRS by 2011, 2995)
