1. The Governor shall annually proclaim the first week in June to be Nevada Mineral Industry Week to commemorate the important role of mining in the history and economy of the State. 2. The proclamation shall call upon news media, educators and state officials to bring to the attention of Nevada’s citizens the history of mining in the State and the role it plays in the development of the culture and economy of its people.
