1. Upon the presentation to a registrant of a written form of authorization signed by a client, the registrant shall provide a complete copy of the client’s file to an agent or employee of the Secretary of State or the Attorney General, or to an agent or employee of a law enforcement agency, without the necessity of a warrant or subpoena. 2. A registrant shall retain a copy of any document prepared for a client for not less than 3 years after the date of the last service performed for the client. At the end of that period, unless the client requests that the document be given to the client, the document may be destroyed by the registrant. Any method of destruction used by a registrant must ensure the complete and confidential destruction of the document. (Added to NRS by 2013, 3472)
