Each of the county recorders of the several counties, before entering upon the duties of office, shall: 1. Take the constitutional oath of office. 2. Enter into a bond in the penal sum of not less than $10,000 nor more than $50,000, at the discretion of the board of county commissioners with two or more sureties, to be approved by the county clerk, conditioned for the faithful performance of his or her duties as county recorder, unless a blanket fidelity bond is furnished by the county.
