Each constable elected or appointed in this state shall, before entering upon the duties of office: 1. Take the oath prescribed by law. The oath must be filed and recorded in a book provided for that purpose in the office of the recorder of the county within which the constable legally holds and exercises his or her office. 2. Execute a bond to the State of Nevada, to be approved by the board of county commissioners, in the penal sum of not less than $1,000 nor more than $3,000, as may be designated by the board of county commissioners.
