1. The board of county commissioners shall, within 14 days after it receives the report requested pursuant to NRS 266.0261, designate a date, time and place for a public hearing on the petition and the report. 2. The date of the public hearing must not be earlier than 14 days nor later than 30 days after the date on which the date, time and place of the public hearing was designated. 3. The board of county commissioners shall cause notice of the public hearing, including a copy of the petition without signatures, to be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the county at least 7 days before the hearing is held.
