An ordinance creating a pedestrian mall may include any provision which is necessary or appropriate to carry out the provisions of NRS 268.810 to 268.823, inclusive, including, without limitation: 1. A prohibition on the use by motor vehicles of the portion of each street or other thoroughfare necessary for the pedestrian mall. 2. Exceptions to such a prohibition for use by emergency, maintenance, utility, mass transit and other necessary vehicles. 3. Provisions for issuing permits to the owners or occupants of property that abuts the pedestrian mall for use of a closed street or thoroughfare for deliveries at such times as are deemed appropriate. 4. Provisions imposing a fee for the use of all or a portion of the pedestrian mall for special events or activities to offset the cost of operating and maintaining the pedestrian mall. 5. Provisions for the use of the pedestrian mall for advertising purposes and the charging of a fee in connection therewith. (Added to NRS by 1993, 1174)
