The county clerk in each of the counties of this state shall: 1. Perform the duties required or authorized to be performed under and by virtue of the provisions of this chapter. 2. Be held liable on an official bond for the faithful performance of such duties. 3. Be ex officio clerk of the board of county commissioners in the execution of the provisions of this chapter. 4.
