1. Any justice of the peace within the town or city has jurisdiction of all violations of ordinances applicable thereto under the provisions of this chapter, and may render final judgment, hold to bail, fine or commit to the county jail any offender, in accordance with the provisions thereof, or may suspend the sentence of any offender pursuant to NRS 4.373. 2. All commitments of imprisonment must be directed to the sheriff of the county, and all fees or fines collected must be paid to the county treasurer of the proper county, to be distributed to the proper fund of the town or city.
