1. Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, the Department of Motor Vehicles shall electronically transmit to the database created by the Secretary of State pursuant to NRS 293.675 the information and any electronic documents collected from a person pursuant to NRS 293.5742: (a) Except as otherwise provided in paragraph (b), not later than 5 working days after collecting the information; and (b) During the 2 weeks immediately preceding the fifth Sunday preceding an election, not later than 1 working day after collecting the information. 2. The Department shall destroy any record containing information collected pursuant to NRS 293.5742 that is not otherwise collected by the Department in the normal course of business immediately after transmitting the information to the database created by the Secretary of State pursuant to subsection 1. 3. The Department shall forward the following paper documents on a weekly basis to the database created by the Secretary of State pursuant to NRS 293.675 or daily during the 2 weeks immediately preceding the fifth Sunday preceding an election: (a) Each signed affirmation collected pursuant to paragraph (a) of subsection 1 of NRS 293.5742; NRS 293.675 or daily during the 2 weeks immediately preceding the fifth Sunday preceding an election: (a) Each signed affirmation collected pursuant to paragraph (a) of subsection 1 of NRS 293.5742; (b) Any completed form indicating a political party affiliation collected pursuant to paragraph (d) of subsection 1 of NRS 293.5742; and (c) Any affidavit signed pursuant to subsection 2 of NRS 293.5742.
