An authority may: 1. Invest any funds held in reserves or sinking funds, or any funds not required for immediate disbursement, in: (a) Obligations issued by the United States Postal Service or the Federal National Mortgage Association, whether or not the payment of principal and interest thereon is guaranteed by the Federal Government. (b) Bonds or other obligations issued by a redevelopment agency created pursuant to chapter 279 of NRS or a legislative body that has elected to exercise the powers granted an agency pursuant to that chapter.
