1. The board of trustees of any district may request, in writing, assistance from any elected or appointed officer of the county in which the district is located. 2. The officer shall furnish the requested assistance, after an agreement has been reached concerning the amount of money which the board of trustees shall pay for the assistance. The cost shall not be more than the actual additional expense necessitated by the request. 3. The board shall, by a resolution spread upon its minutes, order payment made in the amount, in each case, which was agreed upon by the board of trustees and the officer furnishing the assistance.
