1. On and after publication of the North American Datum of 1983 for Nevada by the National Geodetic Survey of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or the federal agency which succeeds it, the Nevada Coordinate System of 1983, which is a transverse Mercator projection of the North American Datum of 1983, is the sole coordinate system in Nevada for describing land. 2.
