1. Nothing in this chapter prohibits a governing body or its authorized representative from contracting for interstate or intrastate carriage of persons or property with a certificated common or contract carrier at the rates set forth in the officially approved tariff of such carrier. 2. Nothing in this section prohibits a governing body or its authorized representative from soliciting informal rate quotations. 3. Nothing in this chapter prohibits a governing body or its authorized representative from obtaining supplies, materials, equipment or services on a voluntary basis from the Purchasing Division of the Department of Administration pursuant to NRS 333.470.
