It is the intent of the Legislature that the Division, in carrying out its functions, follow accepted: 1. Standards of archival practice to assure maximum accessibility for the general public; and 2. Procedures for the management of records to increase the efficiency of the system of governmental records and reduce the administrative costs associated with the maintenance, use, retention and disposition of records.
