A school district and the governing body of a charter school shall provide professional development training on: (a) Parental involvement and family engagement that meets the standards established by the Commission on Professional Standards in Education pursuant to NRS 391.019 to teachers who have not yet completed the course work on parental involvement and family engagement prescribed by NRS 391.019. (b) Multicultural education that meets the standards established by the Commission on Professional Standards in Education pursuant to NRS 391.0347 to teachers who have not yet completed the course work on multicultural education prescribed by NRS 391.0347. 2. Any professional development training provided pursuant to subsection 1: (a) May be provided by the school district or governing body or through an agreement with an institution of higher education or a regional training program for the professional development of teachers and administrators.
