1. Any person, including, without limitation, a parent or legal guardian of a child, who knowingly induces or attempts to induce any child to be absent from school unlawfully, including, without limitation, requiring the child to provide care for a sibling while school is in session, or who knowingly employs or harbors, while school is in session, any child absent unlawfully from school, is guilty of a misdemeanor. 2. The attendance officer for the school district, an attendance clerk or any other school officer is empowered to visit any place or establishment where minor children are employed to ascertain whether the provisions of this title of NRS are complied with fully, and may demand from all employers of such children a list of children employed, with their names and ages.
