1. The board of trustees of each school district may adopt a policy that allows a pupil enrolled in a public school within the school district to report, anonymously if the pupil chooses, any unlawful activity which is being conducted on school property, at an activity sponsored by a public school or on a school bus. The policy may include, without limitation: (a) The types of unlawful activities which a pupil may report; and (b) The manner in which a pupil may report the unlawful activities. 2. The board of trustees of a school district may work in consultation with a local law enforcement agency or other governmental entity, corporation, business, organization or other entity to assist the board of trustees in the implementation of a policy adopted pursuant to subsection 1. 3.
