A person, firm, association, partnership or corporation shall not award, bestow, confer, give, grant, convey or sell to another person a degree or honorary degree upon which is inscribed, in any language, the word 'associate,' 'bachelor,' 'baccalaureate,' 'master,' 'doctor' or 'fellow,' or any abbreviation thereof, unless it is a school, academy, institute, community college, junior college, college, university or other educational organization or entity located in the State of Nevada or operating from a place of business in this state that offers courses of instruction or study wherein credits may be earned toward an academic or professional degree in a field of endeavor beyond the secondary school level, and: 1. Is accredited; or 2. Has filed and kept current with appropriate amendments, in the office of the Administrator, an affidavit by each president of two separate accredited colleges or universities stating that the majority of the course credits offered by the unaccredited institution are generally acceptable or transferable to the accredited college or university which each president represents.
