1. Spouse for spouse and parents for minor children are liable for the support of an applicant for or recipient of public assistance. 2. The Division shall investigate the ability of responsible relatives to contribute to the support of an applicant for or recipient of public assistance and shall determine the amount of such support for which such relative is responsible.
