1. To the extent that money is available for this purpose, the Nevada Statewide Council on Financial Independence may provide: (a) Compensation of not more than $80 per day to each member of the Council who is not a public employee while engaged in the business of the Council; and (b) The per diem allowance and travel expenses provided for state officers and employees generally to each member of the Council while engaged in the business of the Council. 2. A member of the Council who is a public employee may not receive any compensation for his or her services as a member of the Council. Any member of the Council who is a public employee must be granted administrative leave from the duties of the member to engage in the business of the Council without loss of his or her regular compensation. Such leave must not reduce the amount of the member’s other accrued leave. (Added to NRS by 2021, 1549)
