1. The Ombudsman may appoint one or more advocates to assist the Ombudsman who are within the Division and in the classified service of the State. Each advocate shall perform his or her duties at the direction of the Ombudsman. 2. The Ombudsman may: (a) Create a volunteer advocacy program within the Office of the Ombudsman to be administered by the Ombudsman; and (b) Appoint volunteer advocates who may act as representatives of the Ombudsman.
