1. The Committee: (a) Shall review each death in this State that is known or suspected to have been caused by or be related to adult maltreatment and is referred to the Committee by the Division, a law enforcement agency or an adult related to the decedent within the third degree of consanguinity; and (b) May, within the limits of available resources, review any other death that the Committee reasonably believes may have been caused by or related to adult maltreatment. 2. A review pursuant to subsection 1 must include, without limitation, and to the extent that such records exist, a review of relevant medical records, death certificates, records of an autopsy, records created by a facility or provider, records of the Division, records of a social services agency, mental health records and records of a law enforcement agency described in NRS 427A.940.
