Any reimbursement or partial reimbursement made from the Fund for unpaid charges for hospital care furnished to a person which are not greater than $3,000, is a charge upon the county in which: (a) The crash occurred, if the person is not a resident of this state and the crash occurred in this state; or (b) The person resides, if the person is a resident of this state, and must be paid to the Fund upon a claim presented by the Board as other claims against the county are paid. 2. Money paid by a county pursuant to this section must be accounted for separately and expended in accordance with the provisions of subsection 3 of NRS 428.175.
