The Division shall: 1. Serve as a clearinghouse for information relating to child care. 2. Assist the Director in all matters pertaining to child care services and programs. 3. Develop plans and conduct and arrange for research and demonstration programs in the field of child care. 4. Provide technical assistance and consultation to political subdivisions with respect to programs for child care. 5. Prepare, publish and disseminate educational materials dealing with child care. 6. Gather statistics in the field of child care which other federal and state agencies are not collecting. 7. Stimulate more effective use of existing resources and available services for child care.
