1. Upon admission to any public or private mental health facility or to assisted outpatient treatment, each consumer and the consumer’s spouse and legal guardian, if any, must receive a written statement outlining in simple, nontechnical language all procedures for release provided by this chapter, setting out all rights accorded to such a consumer by this chapter and chapters 433 and 433B of NRS and, if the consumer has no legal guardian, describing procedures provided by law for adjudication of incapacity and appointment of a guardian for the consumer. 2. Written information regarding the services provided by and means of contacting the local office of an agency or organization that receives money from the Federal Government pursuant to 42 U.S.C. §§ 10801 et seq., to protect and advocate the rights of persons in a mental health crisis must be posted in each public and private mental health facility and in each location in which assisted outpatient treatment is provided and must be provided to each consumer upon admission.
