The Commission shall adopt by regulation: 1. Primary drinking water standards which prescribe the maximum permissible levels for contaminants in any public water system and provide for the monitoring and reporting of water quality. In establishing the standards, the Commission shall consider, among other things, the standards established pursuant to the Federal Act. 2. Secondary drinking water standards which reasonably ensure that drinking water is aesthetically adequate. (Added to NRS by 1977, 443; A 1981, 1900; 2005, 551)
