1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, plans and specifications for any substantial addition to or alteration of a public water system subject to a regulation of the Commission must be submitted to the Division or the appropriate district board of health for review and approval. 2. A public water system is not required to submit any plans and specifications if the addition or alteration complies with standards previously approved by the Division or the appropriate district board of health. 3. In approving the plans and specifications, the Division or the appropriate district board of health may require such modifications or impose such conditions as are necessary to carry out the provisions of NRS 445A.800 to 445A.955, inclusive.
