'Paramedic' means a person who is: 1. Certified by the health officer as having satisfactorily completed a program of training for certification as a paramedic pursuant to NRS 450B.195; or 2. Practicing as a paramedic in this State under the Recognition of Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact ratified by NRS 450B.145.
