1. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, a person convicted of a violation of any provision of this chapter, who has previously been convicted twice or more of violations of any provisions of this chapter, is guilty of a category D felony and shall be punished as provided in NRS 193.130. 2. The penalty provided in subsection 1 does not apply to violations of NRS 457.230 to 457.280, inclusive, or 457.301.
