1. The Governor shall appoint the member of the Rocky Mountain Low-Level Radioactive Waste Board to represent this State. The member serves at the pleasure of the Governor. 2. The member representing this State on the Rocky Mountain Low-Level Radioactive Waste Board may, in the member’s absence, be represented on the Board by an alternate designated by the member. Such an alternate may discharge the member’s duties and perform the member’s functions to the extent and during the time designated by the member, pursuant to subsection B of article 6 of the Compact.
