The purposes of NRS 459.400 to 459.600, inclusive, are to: 1. Protect human health, public safety and the environment from the effects of improper, inadequate or unsound management of hazardous waste; 2. Establish a program for regulation of the storage, generation, transportation, treatment and disposal of hazardous waste; and 3. Ensure safe and adequate management of hazardous waste.
