1. Each member of the board of directors of a county fire protection district established pursuant to NRS 474.010 to 474.450, inclusive, is entitled to receive as compensation for his or her services a sum to be determined by the board, but not in excess of $3,600 per year. The compensation must be paid on a monthly basis. 2. A member of the board of directors shall not receive any compensation as an employee of the district other than that provided in subsection 1.
