A fire chief, fire marshal, police officer or a person charged with the enforcement of building codes by a local government may be appointed by the State Fire Marshal to serve as a Special Deputy State Fire Marshal, without additional compensation. The Special Deputy State Fire Marshal shall carry out the provisions of this chapter as directed by the State Fire Marshal. (Added to NRS by 1979, 124; A 1985, 329)
