Upon the application of a person who requests that his or her instruction permit or driver’s license indicate that he or she is a veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States pursuant to subsection 3 of NRS 483.292, and who satisfies the requirements of that subsection, the Department shall place on any instruction permit or driver’s license issued to the person pursuant to the provisions of this chapter a designation that the person is a veteran. 2. The Director shall determine the design and placement of the designation of veteran status required by subsection 1 on any instruction permit or driver’s license to which this section applies.
