Upon the application of a person who requests that his or her identification card indicate that he or she is a veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States pursuant to subsection 3 of NRS 483.852, and who satisfies the requirements of that subsection, the Department shall place on any identification card issued to the person pursuant to NRS 483.810 to 483.890, inclusive, a designation that the person is a veteran. 2. The Director shall determine the design and placement of the designation of veteran status required by subsection 1 on any identification card to which this section applies.
