1. The Department shall suspend the license of any person convicted of violating the provisions of paragraph (a) of subsection 1 of NRS 485.187. 2. Any license suspended pursuant to subsection 1 must remain suspended until the person shows proof of financial responsibility as set forth in NRS 485.307. The person shall maintain proof of financial responsibility for 3 years after the reinstatement of his or her license pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, and if the person fails to do so, the Department shall suspend any license previously suspended pursuant to subsection 1.
