1. Any mobile home, commercial coach or travel trailer sold or used for residential purposes in this State must be equipped with a smoke detector which meets standards approved by the State Fire Marshal. 2. Any manufactured home sold or used for residential purposes in this State must be equipped with a smoke detector which meets federal construction and safety standards for manufactured homes in accordance with the National Manufactured Housing Construction and Safety Standards Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. §§ 5401 et seq.). 3. An interconnectivity device for smoke detectors is not required to be installed in a mobile home or manufactured home that was not designed and produced by the manufacturer to accommodate such a device.
